Robot-Proof
The new literacies of a digital-first future
The only certainty in life is change. A robot-proof education is rooted in Northeastern’s humanics mission, equipping people with the tools and mindset to address, with confidence, optimism, and humility, the challenges of our day.
Learning in the age of humanics
Humanics integrates three areas of learning: human literacies, such as teamwork and creativity while understanding context; data literacies, the ability to make meaning out of the sea of information being generated by the digital world; and technological literacies, to understand the possibilities and limitations of old and new technologies.
Robot-Proof
The nature of human labor and the demand for skills is evolving. Northeastern’s humanics curriculum prepares students to thrive in a world of change and embrace the technological opportunities that lie ahead. The new literacies, as presented by President Joseph E. Aoun, empower learners to shape a more sustainable, just, and equitable future in the new digital age.
